Rave 2000 to air on Belgian television Earlier the news section announced a broadcast on Belgian
Pay-television Canal + of the Rave unto the year 2000 Concert. This never took placce.....until now. The show is now set to be aired on thursday 21 september at 20.30 on Canal + Update: Bart Van Hemelen (tenthousand@yahoo.com) writes: The Flemish edition of Belgian channel Canal+ (the channel formerly known as FilmNet) will broadcast Rave Un2 The Year 2000 on Thursday September 21 (at 20h30 CET, 8:30 PM) and on Friday September 22 (at 9h15 CET, 9:15 AM). It is likely that the Walloon version of Canal+ will also broadcast the show, though I don't have details when and how. (AFAIK the two channels have an independent schedule.) Canal+ is available through most (though not all) Belgian cable providers. The channel requires a monthly subscription fee of approximately $30, which means that the broadcast will be available only to subscribers. Canal+ offers their subscribers three channels: Canal+, Canal+ Blauw, and HallMark. Very few cable providers also offer CanalDigitaal, which provides a dozen extra channels (like VH1, CNBC, Cartoon Network,...) and a lot of interactive TV besides the regular three Canal+ channels. Their version of Rave Un2 The Year 2000 is 89 minutes, according to the official channel guide, and will be broadcast first on Canal+, and repeated on Canal+ Blauw. The new website for Canal+ Belgium (http://www.canalplus.be/) should arrive in early September, and should offer plenty of details on the programs broadcast by Canal+. The program guide for September (a magazine they send to subscribers) has a small pic of Prince on the front, and a full page on the concert inside, with several photos and a small explanation on the concert and Prince.
