The latest inside news from The Future:




As previously reported by us (The Future), Prince was offered $8 million for a 20-city US tour of arenas, scheduled for September this year. He started looking for new members for The NPG, but then decided to fire his band, including Larry Graham, and put the tour on hold. He told the concert promoter that he didn't want to tour without a new record out. Instead, he is leaving for Egypt, having rented a house in Cairo. He'll stay there with his current girlfriend. Of course, with Prince in Egypt and no band and no rehearsals, a tour this year looks unlikely.



Prince and Mayte have now "officially" divorced, signing off on divorce papers in May. In the settlement, Mayte got the house in Spain and $250,000 per year(!). The house is now on the market since Mayte is living in New York.
