Los Angeles Times criticizes Prince's recent work

Article in the LA Times about how some veteran music acts should play more recent songs, while other veteran acts should stick to oldies, since their new stuff isn't very good.

If you're too lazy to read it, the Prince mention goes is this:

Oldies but . . .

The N(ostalgia) Crowd

Sometimes you do just want to hear the old stuff. Here is a cross-section of favorite artists whom I'd prefer to hear do their classic material because their new songs haven't been competitive for years:

The Allman Brothers Band
The Beach Boys
Ray Charles
Bo Diddley
Fleetwood Mac
Al Green
Jerry Lee Lewis
Prince
The Rolling Stones
Tina Turner
The Who
