A personal message from your News Editor Dear prince.org readers:
I recently was extended an invitation to join the staff of the Indiana Law Review, a scholarly journal published by my school. From a professional standpoint, this is a wonderful opportunity for me. However, it involves a pretty significant time commitment... between now and January, I'll be responsible for doing a ton of editing work and writing a 40-page paper of publishable quality. This is in addition to my usual coursework as a full-time law student. Thus, after much consideration, I've decided that the best thing for me to do is to step down as News Editor and pass the torch to someone else. We've identified several candidates to take over the position, and will select my replacement in the near future. Once he/she is up to speed and ready to take over, I'll officially retire as News Editor. However, I am not leaving prince.org entirely! I will still maintain the Events and FAQ databases, as I've been doing since prince.org opened. In addition, I may serve as a substitute when the regular News Editor is away on vacation or otherwise unable to keep the News page updated. I'd like to thank Ben and Kevin for their assistance in getting our News service launched, and their help in keeping things updated when I was away. In addition, I'd like to thank everyone who's contributed news to the site, and especially those of you who are regular contributors. I don't want to name any names, for fear of accidently leaving someone out, but I think you know who you are. Maintaining the prince.org News page has been very rewarding for me, and left me with even more respect for those who ran news services before ours, such as Diana Dawkins, Warren Mason and Pierre Igot. I hope this service has been useful to you, our readers. Sincerely, Matt Conrad prince.org News Editor Indianapolis, Indiana August 11, 2000 | |
