Last night's Paisley Party Review....



Last night's party was turned down a couple notches from the past weeks. The doors opened at 1:45a and there was a "suggested donation" of $7. Just 10-15 minutes later (shortly before 2:00), Prince was already at the soundboard. He cued up the concert footage tape. The tape really only showed a few songs....Baby Knows....Pretty Man....The "Graham" Jam....in between the songs was 10 minutes or so of people I've never heard of (except Santana) talking in a different language. My untrained ear would guess Spanish? Very few people were dancing while the concert was on.



After the tape was over, the DJ tried to get things going but had quite a bit of difficulty. The first song started over 4-6 times....then it was skipping and cutting out. It was not a smooth ride. Then he just put in the NPS CD and played a few cuts in order .... including Until Ur in My Arms Again...obviously not a dancable tune, except for the 2 or 3 couples that shared a moment. Finally the DJ came back and put something else in....and it remained un-manned the rest of the night that I could tell. It was one of those nights that makes U appreciate Brother Jules (as he was last week!). Oh well.



Pretty good size crowd last night. I will guess 300-350 maybe? The crowd started thinning out around 3:30. I left around 4:00, so don't know if anything happened after that. There was NO evidence that a performance was going to take place.
