Article on Princely happenings in the MPLS area

In the Showtime section of St. Paul Pioneer Press, both Paisly Park and The Front were mentioned. Both establishments were mentioned in an article that was listing the top things to do in the Twin Cities for people under the age of 30. The article was called "the under-30". Here is what was written:

The Front

-15 Fourth St. NE, Mpls.

-(612)378-5115

"It has been said that listening to Prince in Minnesota is cliched. So be it. Do it with a group of friends for free at the Front Wednesday nights. It's in Northeast Hennepin, a burgeoning area teeming with bars and clubs. At the Front, a DJ plays singles that span Prince's career. Watch clips of "Purple Rain" and other vintage footage to see his ageless majesty. Dance downstairs or unwind on the balcony.

Paisley Park

-MN 5 and Audubon Rd, Chanhassen

-"Still not enough Prince? Seven bucks and a long drive to his studio lend a good chance of seeing him. Prince opens his doors to the public around 1am. The mood is ungroupie and quite mellow, with fewer than 100 people. a dj spins hip-hop and rock until Prince decides whether he wants to bless the crowd. When he does, it is surreal. He'll rock on his guitar into the wee, wee morning hours. The trick is knowing which days Paisley is open [Editor's note: These days it's usually open on Friday night/early Saturday morning. - MWC] and whether Prince will perform. It's always after hours. Don't worry about the drive back. He sells Mountain Dew all night."
