Hello...I was listening to V103 FM in Chicago yesterday
and heard a caller complaining about an annoucement from
the station. I guess they announced in the morning that
Prince would be performing at the UIC Pavillion on Sept. 1st.
The listener then called both the venue and Ticketmaster and
neither knew anything about the performance. The DJ said
that there was definitely a date set early in the day, but
as of last night things had changed. He told her to keep
listening and hopefully they would know updated info very
soon that they could release.



This sounds really odd to me. Is he really ready for a tour?
Every time I read that he performed at P-Park, he is on stage
with only 2 other musicians. It's pretty late for a Rave tour
and it just doesn't make sense that he would get a band
together in less than a month and play. don't get me wrong,
I would love to see him play...but it sounds fishy.
