Being as Prince hasn't lived there since 1986 I don't think tearing down this house has anything to do with whether he is staying in Minnesota. If he were to tear down his actual house on Galpin or Paisley Park then I would start to wonder.

Also, for the record Mani is NOT pregnant.

[color=deep pink:5774c6dc11:67ee1532b0]Remember how I told you about how CJ blew an Uptown public bathroom with her funkiness (and I don't mean with a bassline!)? Well, a witness to this latest potty blowout--who wishes to be identified only as Dansa--seen it all...and smelt it all.

"Yeah, I seen her go in there," Dansa said. "She looked like she was in one helluva rush, too. Not to mention she had on these hideous shoes and this t-shirt with 'Prince is my baby daddy' on it. Anyway, I ended up going to Calhoun Square for a while to go look at stuff--I'm broke, all's I can afford is window shopping--and I go outside and I see this huge crowd of folks standing out in front of the street by Davanni's! Made me wonder...then I saw the Hazmat crew pull up and CJ being handcuffed by some policeman. Some chick told me that CJ had a serious case of the shits and, well..."

Stinkorena's still in jail, because ain't nobody willin to pay her bail money. Funny thing: my source at the Hennepin County Jail tells me that CJ was overheard asking the guards, "Any of you have Prince's phone number? I gotta call him!"

Hope that cat got caller ID and a restraining order.

Well according to these rumors she has been pregnant for years, but when she shows up in public...funny she's never pregnant.

Lakers game a couple of weeks ago being the latest example.

Maybe Prince has some good reasons to tear down a good house, having it stand could go against his being idolized belief. A good house torn down while others suffer with no place to live; a bit of a waste. I'm not slaggin on P in particular its a very disposable society in general and I guess we all throw away useful things everyday. When money was being raised by L4OA 2 build a hospital someday, its amazing how we forget and what a fucked up world it is today. LoL, takecare of yourself mac!

I've read that Prince feels that memories aren't healthy. Maybe that was a memory he'd like 2 4get with his dad's recent death and all. Billy Jack Bitch needs a life! 1 that doesn't revolve around Prince!

Yeah, this is a shame. Historically speaking you know. Could of been made into a museum perhaps one day. A Minnesota Historical site.

And I agree, it could also have to do with the JW thing about false idoltry...?

Didn't Prince record 1999 in a basement there and many other jams? Didn't he record Power Fantastic there too? Didn't he film that unreleased Controversy movie there? Lot's of stuff!

But then again, perhaps it just reminded Prince of a his late father and mother too much and it was a sad place for him.

Maybe his father requested the house be torn down if and when he passed away...never know.

But if Prince is alienating himself maybe with some influence from Larry or other people...then that kind of sucks.

I always admired his feeling that he didn't belong to any other place of percieved success like Hollywood or Los Angeles and moved back to the snow, MPLS (listen to White Mansion).

I thought he would be very close to the place he grew up. Close to his history. Oh well.

Then:

Now:

Good bye Purple House. sigh

If some of you hate CJ so much, why do you flock to all her articles and read them, then complain about it later?

Look at some of the stuff people discuss about Prince's personal life on here then compare it to her articles, what's the difference? She's trash for prying into his life but the rest who participate aren't?

The article is informative and of interest to Prince fans. It's kind of silly to make her the token victim just because Prince doesn't like her. She's a writer and a fan with a critical point of view.

Perhaps its more uncomfortable to Prince to have strangers move into his dads house after he passes away.

You know, maybe you're right. Perhaps the uncomfortableness of that would have been innapropriate to his family.

Read this great article from where that smaller picture is at, it's great!

http://www.bychrislee.com...house.html

Oh and a small observation on the larger, newer photo...the gate. Looks like Prince had the heart and peace sign placed sometime after '85. Maybe around the time of Sign O The Times...?

Also, what happened to the smaller stem of the peace sign? It looks like a Mercedes Benz logo now.

This latest CJ article is loaded with information and opinions that has nothing to do with the purple house being torn down.

disbelief Oh dear CJ, why U wanna hold a grudge this long? Do you wonder what your fellow Minnesotians think of your long-lasting idiotic ramblings about Prince really indicate about you.

It's sooo over-worked and not classic. Damn girl you should try making a resolution next year to report gossip without being a BJB. evillol

Maybe it was Prince's father who wanted the house bulldozed. A last request, perhaps?
Not to speak ill of the dead, but Prince's father was known to be a little odd himself.
Anyway, CJ has zero credibility when it comes to Prince.
I realize her stories about Prince are so one-sided cause he won't give her the time of day, but by printing these so called facts without ever getting the whole story just makes her look even more foolish.
And the whole Symbolina thing was funny for about a second, if that.

Now continue following her around and documenting her every move. Be sure to go interview anybody who was in the bathroom with her at the time of the INCIDENT, and don't be afraid to interject copious amounts of editorial commentary in your reports, or to embellish for maximum dramatic effect.

Also, dig up lots of background information on why CJ is such a bitch. That'd be good.

Back to work you go now! Check in hourly so we all know what CJ is up to.

As for the "lake scene" in PR, where we get a nice look at Apollonia's umm "breasts", I seem to remember that scene being filmed at the Mississippi River backwaters. Maybe some of the locals can help me out. Also, I remember looking for the house in 1991 only to find out that it wasn't purple anymore, kind of a tan color. Again, those who have been there recently can help us out. (I moved away from the TC in 1992) sad

According to the book "Days of Wild", Prince recorded a great deal in his home studio there. Much of 1999 especially, and many other early versions of later songs. Darling Nikki was supposedly recorded there as well. Also, Prince's piano was said to have been upstairs, and a mic was ran to the basement studio. (Remember, most of his keyboard sounds in those days were of the Oberheim synth variety, and he extensively used the Linn drum machine).

Just thoughts..

Yep Tom my thoughts exactly! I don't call in on here very often but when I do its always just to refresh rather than immerse, and I was not impressed with people going on bout how SAD CJ is when she'd only doing what most of the people do on the org, obsess, wonder, contemplate and write bout prince, only she gets by on it too!

If you peeps cussing her were not so bothered bout her ponderings, you would not read them and you would not visit the org, at all ever!

So read on play on ponder on, but realise just what you are doing before you throw stones, you will break your glass house first as the stone flies out!!!

The house was still painted purple. Prince moved in around 1981 and lived there until sometime late 1985. It's safe to assume that the majority of material, during those years, (outside of Sunset Sound in California) was recorded in that house. I always thought the place sounded really cool... studio in the basement with view of a lake. Prince must've thought so too, because he had a basement studio installed in his new home, which was used until Paisley Park opened in 1987. When you see credits from 1985-1987 "recorded at Paisley Park", it was recorded at his house.

Peace.

I have no data to support the comment I'm about to make but here it goes anyway:

If Prince's dad died, then his mom died who was the house willed to? If Prince paid for the house then he has the right to do with it whatever he pleases. I have a feeling that some of his siblings probably thought that they diserved it. Who never know...

When parents die, folks get ugly. But I would be curious to know why total destruction... It could be a JW thing. Who knows?...

When Prince had the crib in Spain he was rumored to be leaving Minneapolis, all because some fool (CJ?) heard a piano and some belongings were shipped to Spain. Prince has had different residences over the years, don't worry, besides Toronto is not that far from Minneapolis.

What says Paisley Park has closed, because CJ only saw a few cars in the parking lot? That's probably typical when there's not much happening on a given day.
