the web site 1-800-new-funk is back up, [I think basically it's that all of npgmc sites are back up...? -Ben]
Hey all you Prince fans the 1-800-New-Funk web site is back up, I was reading the Premere issue of the now defunked N.P.G magazine, and came apon the web site at the time,and got a wild hair and decided to call 1-800-New-Funk just for the funk of it, and I was thinking why am I doing this, it has been defunked for such a long time, well low and behold, the person on the other line, let me know that the 1-800-New -funk is now back on line, I was so giddie to hear the news I thought I would share this bit of info to the org. actually it's a recording probably from about 2 or 3 years ago when they stopped taking phone orders. Most likely Gage put it there when they went web-only and no one ever changed it. | |

This is actually just a redirect to NPGMusicClub.com which is standard practice when you own a good URL, you keep it and repoint to the one you want to use now. Maybe this is the actually club no, and all music he releases will be sold here. Maybe he is no longer selling memberships anymore because he doesn't plan on touring as much anymore, and he's tired of the agony of trying to please every customer. Maybe this is subtle of retiring from the pressures of the music busines while continuing to create music. | |

I to tried 1800newfunk to be redirected to NPGmusicclub to the front screen we have been seeing since last year. No new developments then. I have to agree. Charging £100 for a year is okay depending on what you get for it.
Even the man himself cannot produce the volume of music he did last year, and tour every year. it is just to much. I think our expectations were to high after last year, and we have to expect less this year or he will end up killing himself. | |

I agree - give him a break! 100 euro membership for a cd that is selling for 70 ,third row center seats with a private soundcheck concert, and free admission to an aftershow that others paid 50 for plus all the downloads is quite a bargain.
He has just married and there are rumors around about a baby - he has never let his fans down before and always come through - let him live a bit so he can experience life and share it with us. | |

Its good to get your search engine ratings up too. Google will think that all those sites are linking to you & wont know you own both sites. | |
