Darren Hayes (Savage Garden) mentions Prince Darren Hayes of Savage Garden has chosen Prince's "Sign O' The Times" as
one of his major influence albums in an interview in "Rolling Stone" (Australian edition). Says Darren: 'This is Prince's finest moment. I can't believe it's a double album full of brilliant songs. I had a tape of "Purple Rain" on my first ever Walkman and the big thing then was stereo delays and effects moving aruond in your head. If "Tusk" was the soundtrack to my childhood, "Sign O' The Times" was the soundtrack to high school ... He has the most unbelievable love songs and "I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man" is a brilliant rock song.' | |
