New interview with Prince's recording engineer (new album in the works?)

NOTE It has come to our attention that this news item is probably FALSE, or at least unverifiable. Sorry for the late catch (it's now 7/27/2000).

the Aug. edition of Mojo magazine contains a 3 paragraph
interview with H. Martin Buff ,Prince's recording engineer.

The only part of the interview worth mentioning is that,
according to Buff,Prince has been working on a new record
since late December 1999.He also said that there are 9
songs completed and the kicker is that they are all mostly
in the vein of his "Purple Rain Sound" ,as Martin calls it!

He stated that Prince was very happy during the sessions and
was really looking foward to putting out a new album with
the name Prince again. He also said that so far all the
tracks were cut "completely by Prince"with the aid of the
linn lm1 drum computer! He did not speculate on a release
date, only stating that Prince plans on "soul searching a
while before completing the record.
