Saw Maceo at the Park last night (this morning) Doors opened
at maybe 10:45. Not many people there, perhaps 20 which
surprised me. Anyway it was $25. Everyone was aked to sign a
waiver that we would not hold Paisley responsible if we
were injured by a basketball.... the reason for this was
that there were hoops set up in the soundstage. So I went
in and shot some hoops for awhile. Slowly more people showed
up and many tooks turns shooting baskets which was a lot of
fun.



At 12:30 Maceo and full band took the stage and plaeyed for
two hours. Very funky! I don't know all the song titles but
it included "Rabbit in the Pea Patch", "Baby Knows", and
"Greatest Romance..." All from the Dail Maceo CD. Prince
got up and jammed with them on guitar for awhile. He had his
hair all tied up so it was sticking straight out in little
curls (does that make sense?) Just like when he played
"Come On" on the Leno show. Looked cool. Rest of the show he
was bopping around behind the soundboard, every once in
awhile he would run up to the front of the stage and dance
and clap, obviously having a great time. Very cool to see
a full Maceo set with his band. Maybe someone else will give
a more detailed report/set list?
