Day 5 - The Purple Rain theme nite
opened up with video clips from the
original movie "Purple Rain" along
with a documentary back in 80's.
There were also video clips from
American Music Awards in 1984 where
Prince and The Revolution were
nominated 4 the categories of
"Favorite 'Black' Album" and "Favorite
'Black' Single." So, did they also have
"Favorite 'White' Album" and "Favorite
'White' Single"?? Interesting, hum?
The special guest performer was "Mint
Condition"! This popular R&B band hit
The Park!! About hour and half show,
the crowd was sho nuff feelin' it!
Prince showed up in Love4OneAnother
room, started playin' the video of his
concert probably in 1993 or 4... in the
video Prince and NPG were playin'
"Let's Go Crazy," and "Kiss," they
were totally jammin'! The highlight
was that the DJ played several
new/unreleased songs at the end of
the night. It was already 4:00am...
people were still pumpin' up for the
new songs including "Peace" look
forward 2 hearing more 2nite...
