Celebration review

Greetings from the Prince Celebration:

OK, I have a vip pass and have been to the late nite
dance/video parties the last few nites. Had to get back
home (work!), so here is the run down, want everyone to
know what the vibe was.

Prince has been around. Either sneaking around in the
dark to the left of the stage. Or up in the dj booth.
I have seen him walk through the large sound stage. And he
has been driving the Purple Prowler a bit.

MORE ABOUT THE TOUR:

A lotta his gear is on display! The purple jacket from
Purple Rain, the cloud suit, the exodus has begun suit-
etc from 84 til now- about one or more suits per year, the
symbol guitars, the bmw from betch by golly wow, the cars
from sexyMf video and under the cherry moon. His limo
from "back in the day". The purple rain and grafitti
bridge motor cycles, During the tour (a basic tour- taking
us through the major rooms at Paisley Park), Hans Buff is
on hand to answer questions. The grafitti bridge movie
according to the tour guide was originally to be very
wizard of oz like, in the inner city "U use your colors to
cross the bridge". The original script was said to include
many more characters. The game room has a pic of the NPG
circa Gold Exp., Prince said that was his most fun line-up.
A painting by Miles hangs just outside the game room,
simply reads Prince. Larry G. and KAJ have offices at the
park. (I was told that Larry G. has a big painting of
himself in his office?- does anyone know if this b true?).
The conference room at the Park is called the War room.
Prince likes to take arguments with outsiders into the War
room. Seen the garage of the park where the sexyMf video
was recorded. The vault is in the basement, it is said to
have 30+ albums finished inside. INCLUDING: 2 and a half
revolution albums. In the basement is where Prince's first
guitar(its white) is.

The staff at the Park has moments (some are what I call
rent a cops). These security guards are simply taking
orders. They are puppets that do what the boss says.
Though after you have been at the Park 3-4 days plus they
get more loose with you. Some of the staff are cool and
nice and some feel as though they have power(that whole
I'm a security guard- I make sure no one steals the parking
lot thang). Though they never open on time and have some
fucked up hours, like the line for the tours on saturday!
Why have such short hours? on saturday and sunday?
(Fucking idiots. And closing the door on customers, people
travel from far and Paisley Park has merchandise to sell
and they simply close the door on people who have money to
spend. They simply closed an hour early one day! An hour
early! Idiots).

THESE SONGS WERE PLAYED AT THE DANCE PARTY(everyone danced
and danced! lots of fun, lets do it again):
Full versions of Splash (very cool!), Mad, Hit u in the
Socket(Rosie Gaines), Cyber Single(so-so!), Man o War
remix (cool!), Peace (very cool song!), Y SHOULD EYE DO
THAT, WHEN EYE CAN DO THIS? (good). PLUS: A sheffield
concert video of Prince and the NPG, a very tight video,
and the concert footage of the rave promo tour in Europe,
baby knows, etc, pro shot and good stuff.

According to the voting thingy about the next albums,
"Madrid to Chicago" is actually the title to an album.
Crystal Ball 2: titles may include Girls and Boys extended
remix, Kiss extended remix, evilsidog, Girl O' My Dreams,
Extra Lovable, and many other songs that I have never heard
of (could someone jot down the complete list and get it up
on Prince.org!)? We can vote on a live album from any
time period. Or a Guitar Rock Album(Last I checked this
was at the top). Also there is a box asking if we want a
new album and tell him what vibe it should be! etc. &
ROADHOUSE GARDEN? Do we want that released!! I wonder why
they even ask! (I Say I want Wendy and Lisa or No
Revolution- I agree with Prince, Roadhouse needs some work
by Wendy and Lisa before its released, though Splash is a
great song, It could be better with Wendy and Lisa input.
Its just that type of song!).

Its interesting to hear the views that everyone has about
Prince. To me its about the music. Who cares who he is
sleeping with. Though it makes me sick when some of fans
at the Park think the man is God.

PEOPLES FROM THE CELEBRATION! ADD TO THIS AND CORRECT ME
WHERE I'M WRONG. I would go to the Park again for a Prince
Celebration, they could do it again and improve it- first
we need George Clinton and the P-Funk allstars- they have
the balls to party all night- trully starand More Prince
related artists (If they did it again I would ask: where
did the Time go? the old NPG? Why not have some meet and
greets? Sign me some cd's now related artists! Some
extended hours for the tours, get some new rent a cops-
more fan input, I love the nightly themes, quit showing me
the same videos show us a mix of things! Prince jam for
us!), Still all in all it was so much fun meeting all the
fams. Thats what made it worth the $, and tour was
marvellous.

The sale was good. Posters were like 5 for a dollar. The
come cd and girl 6 cd were going for a dollar (they were
cutouts), get wild perfume $5, t-shirts $5, npg hockey
jerseys $5, the war tape $1, the kamasutra tape $1... The
prince celebration merchandise was like $30-35 for a
t-shirt, $10 celebration posters, $60 pullovers.

French Fries, Veggie Burger, and juices served on the yard
near the swing set from beatiful strange video.

take care everyone, thanks to Paisley Park for trying, I
would call this a success that can be done better again
sometime. Kinda like fixing newfunk.com! They are cool
now.

Thats my 2 cents..
