When we arrived at paisley park for registration i was quite please with how
quick and easy it is. With your registration packet you receive a vip tag to
wear around your neck, a CD case which contains a CD booklet with an
itinerary listing all the events as well as your tickets to the northrup
show. The registration took all of two minutes, you show your Id and they
hand you your envelope. We went into paisley park without doing the tour
because we are waiting for the rest of our friends to join us on Thursday,
however, you can go into the main soundtage as well as the love4oneanother
room without doing the tour. They have a small room set up with event
specific merchandise for sale. Sweatshirt, dress, tshirt, posters etc.
Then inside the soundstage they have a sale area with stuff that is basically
being given away!!! CD's are 1$, posters are 5 for 1 $, etc.



We arrived at paisley park around 10:00pm and the love4oneanother room was
basically full. People were standing around watching the videos on the big
screens. The only people who seemed to be enjoying themselves were the people
in the huge soundstage. They were dancing and having a ball. We danced for
what seemed like hours, then Macy Grey started walking around the soundstage
dancing with her friends, etc. Then we heard that she was going to perform
so we moved into the other room. Macy Grey was energetic and seemed to be
having a good time. Although the reports of sound problems were accurate, the
mics were not nearly loud enough and Macy's backgound singers had the crowd
chanting "Please" to turn up the volume.... I am not too familiar with her
music but i thought she was great.


I know a previous review was posted but contrary to that report, PRince was
there! I saw him at least four or five times. They hoisted him up on the
left side of the stage while macy was playing, he played the piano for all of
20 seconds then he got down from the piano and eventually left the stage. I
later saw him near the entrance of the love4oneanother room actually talking
to people. He seemed to be enjoying himself then he was whisked away and
the lights came up and we left.


I was told that he was at paisley park for the majority of the day and when
we were leaving after the initial registration we saw him pull out of the
back gates in the prowler. I am sure we will see him again this week, i
heard he may be performing sunday night with mint condition.
Heres to hoping i have just as much fun for the rest of the week as i did
last night.



for the BayNPG... we are all here and safe, including
Valerie, Gabriella, Adige, SirJac, Myself, Cristina, Reuben, Yamina, Brandon,
Deb, Niro, Samira, bobby, and the LA crew chris, kari, tomeko and ray
although there are more from LA i dont know them personally....
