Prince celebrates birthday giving gifts

To celebrate his birthday (he turns 42 on June 7), Prince has got presents for his fans, but they will have to go to his website to get them. Visitors to the "Vault" section of his website, www.npgonlineltd.com, will find four "sub-vaults" filled with new and rare performances. Vault 1 features parts of the Prince & the Revolution song "Splash," as well as the Artist (formerly known as Prince) songs "Y Should I Do That When I Can Do This?" and "Cybersingle," his latest track to be issued. Vault 2 has four cuts from the Rave Un2 The Year 2000 pay-per-view special that first aired last New Year's Eve, plus a surprise. Vaults 3 and 4 contain live cuts and studio outtakes, as well as some previously released music. The songs are: "1999: The New Master;" "Car Wash," "Purple Rain," and a Larry Graham bass solo, all of which were recorded live in Las Vegas last year; "The War," live from Prince's Paisley Park Studios; "U're Still The One," a duet with Marva King (who's recorded with Lionel Richie, Chaka Khan, and others); "Madrid 2 Chicago"; and three songs from a 1998 show in Ghent, Belgium -- "Come On," "U Got The Look," and "I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man."
