German music magazine MusikExpress reviews Maceo Parker's new album. They call it very funky, show respect for guest musician Candy Dulfer. The album contains of 11 great funk songs, played by excellent musicians lead by the master himself.

If Maceo had never played with Prince you wouldn't even be giving him any props, Maceo, JB, Bootsy, George etc were around back in the day long before Prince came along ...get yourself a funk education!!!

It is true that many people start digging about Maceo after his work with Prince. What is the problem? It is better 2 know him now than do not know him at all. Many funkateers like George Clinton were there b4 Prince. I started 2 become interest in Prince's music with his Lovesexy album. This album brought me 2 his other albums, movies, tour videos, etc. Plus, I wanted 2 know more about other musicians. That is the way it goes. Nothing bad about it.

Also, I will c Maceo live in Würzburg, Germany the end of the month. And, his current cd is funky stuff.
