Prince reference in new 2Pac book

Just bought a new book full of poetry written by the late Tupac Shakur and there's a Prince reference in the foreword written by NIKKI GIOVANNI.....

'I like Tupac Shakur in the same way I liked Prince when he was Prince. When he wrote music that was a bit edgy, a bit out there, a bit daring. Whatever turned that beautiful boy, the "rude boy," into a whiny symbol should rot in five different hells'

The actual book is an interesting read and features Poems by 2pac when he was aged between 18 and 20. The original handwritten poems have been reproduced and it's easy 2 see what an influence Prince was on 2pac.... the way he uses instead of I, the way he substitutes to for 2 and for for 4, (that's a mouthful!) and draws hearts instead of writing love. I know people other than PRINCE do this but I thought it was kinda cool anyway.

Oh yeah.... the title of the book is "The Rose That Grew From The Concrete," the author is Tupac Shakur and the publisher is Quartet books.
