Prince mention in The Face

This month's The Face (UK style magazine, volume 3 issue 74, March 2003) has a short article by Bryan Black from the band Haloblack, about the time he worked at Paisley Park (mid-1990s, apaprently) as his sound engineer. The article isn't much (I'm too lazy to retype it, I might scan it and upload it to abmp or my site),but it's kinda interesting.

The guy is currently in two bands: xLover (www.xlover.net) and Motor.

"Haloblack's raw electronic rock caught the ears of Prince in 1995. Prince then hired Haloblack main-man, Bryan Black as a sound designer to offset the over-produced sound of current Prince and Paisley Park releases."

That's from the second link...funny that Prince then might have realized his mid 90's sound was too RnB radio yuckiness cheese around Emancipation.

I like it alot. Imagine what these guys could do with a remix of "There's Others Here With Us." Trent Reznor already uses Prince loops...
Love and lust, they both have 4 letters...

my band, xlover, based in London is about to release our debut single "trash me" b/w "controversy" in April on City Rockers..
xlover is funky electro pop, with Prince having inspired much of the debut album to be released this Summer/Fall.. the Camille album is my fav.

sorry for the confusion... enjoy..
