Prince references in British Hit Singles book

According to the new (13th?) edition of 'British Hit Singles', Prince/TAFKAP is the 30th most succesful singles artist of all time in terms of number of weeks on chart (301 weeks) up to the end of 1999. In terms of number of hit singles he is significantly higher up the chart, placing him just outside the top ten. These figures do not include singles credited solely to the NPG, although they wouldn't make a huge difference.

Elsewhere in the book he gets a mention for winning more Brit awards than any other International artist.

In a new feature for the end-of-century edition, they ask numerous leading British music industry figures to name their favourite single of all time. Mark Goodier (one of the most influential people in the UK radio industry, as not only does he present the UK's most listened to radio show - the top 40 on BBC Radio One - he is also the owner of the production company that produces many of Radio One's top shows) names 'Sign Of The Times as his all-time favourite.
