This info is 4 all 2 read. It's not really news but i think it will come in handy 4 those planning 2 attend the Prince Celebration in MPLS. 4 those who live here, please feel free 2 correct me if I've missed N E thing.



MPLS is a large city made up of both the downtown mpls area and MANY Surrounding suburbs. 2 drive from the northern most suburb of mpls 2 the southern most could take anywhere from a half hour 2 an hour. chanhassen is one of the most southern suburbs and is quite a ways from the heart of MPLS. 2 give u a rough idea, it would take approx. 20-30 minutes 2 get from paisley park 2 first ave. Chanhassen is on the OUTER limits of MPLS suburbs and in fact, Paisley park is about the end of the line for the "Big City Feel" about 10 miles from paisley park....the corn fields start and MPLS is gone. There r several suburbs that r close 2 chanhassen that would b optimal for staying. Although the airporty is in bloomington (closer 2 downtown) i would recommend Chanhassen, Chaska, Eden Prarie, Shakopee, or Prior Lake. These suburbs r closer 2 Paisley park and will save u ALOT on taxi fares.



Chanhassen itself does not have the "Big City" feel 2 it. It is much more like a medium sized town which is self contained. If u stayed at one of the chanhassen hotels, u would have no problem walking 2 get food or 2 the grocery store (Byerlys) or cash machine. Chaska is roughly the same way.
