Cleveland Live picks up "copyright cop" story http://www.cleveland.com/...peopl.html
The Artist formerly known as Prince went on copyright patrol in a New York nightclub, getting a disc jockey to cease and desist playing a bootleg version of Stevie Wonder’s "All I Do." According to a New York magazine article, the Artist threatened to "call Stevie at home right now" and tattle on DJ Mark Ronson. "I start fading out the song and Prince lifts up the needle off the record for me," said Ronson, who is a stepson of Mick Jones from the rock band Foreigner. "And he says, Gimme that record!’" Ronson didn’t say whether he gave the Artist the record. | |
