Patriot News interviews Morris Day

A small article appeared in the "life" section , thought it may interest some
people ...it was on Morris Day ... probably appeared in other papers also ...
also talks about jams with the Artist ..... here it is:

PAST TIME: Morris Day, the flamboyant front man for '80s funk band the Time,
says he doesn't care much for today's music, especially the "drum machine
computer" variety.

"Once you pass 30 or whatever, you kind of wonder where all the time
went," Day said during a weekend performance in Chicago. "You look around
and things have changed. For me, it's like a real artist like Picasso or
something watching a computer-generated image."

Day is reliving his '80s career, singing old-school hits such as
"777-9311," "C-O-O-L" and "Jungle Love." He is spending time in the studio
working on the Time's first CD in nearly a decade.

Every now and then, Day also jams with the Artist Formerly Known as
Prince, just like they did as teens in a band called Grand Central. "Prince
was this little dude playing [Jimi] Hendrix and [Carlos] Santana," Day said.
" I mean really playing it , not just skimming it. And I wanted to be in
that band."
