First of all, a big THANK YOU from Michael Bland and Maison for posting their last press release on the April 20th show at First Avenue. We had people coming to see it just because they saw the post on this site! Much Love!
Okay, here's the next big deal for Maison. He is performing at First Avenue's not-for-profit fashion/dance show on Sunday, May 7, 2000 at approximately 9:50pm. This show will not feature his back up band, but he will have his backup dancers to kick it up a notch. This is an all ages event that starts at approximately 8:30pm. Maison is the final act! Flyers will be distributed throughout the Twin Cities area so be on the lookout for information on the cover charge and a breakdown of the night's events.
Michael Bland's next big thing is a performance at The Quest, formerly Glam Slam, with his band "Sons of the Almighty", (Tommy Barbarella-keyboards, Sonny Thompson-bass, Julius-lead vocals, Jef Lee Johnson-guitar). This performance is a kick off for the summer release of their new CD entitled, "The Great Tribulation". As always these guys do a kick ass live performance and anyone who's a fan would be out of their mind not to attend. Cover and time are still to be determined and an addemdum to this release is forthcoming.
