So *IF* WB are releasing a DVD of it, they can do so because they obtained the rights to do so FROM PRINCE. Chaos competed with Emancipation? How about THE OTHER WAY AROUND? The Vault competed with Rave? So WB employs psychics then, considering Rave wasn't officially announced until the day The Vault was released. and as for the hold up on the club, we have only ourselves to blame for complaining and sending complaints to the club. tho there were downsides, hell, p didn't even come to stlouis during the ona tour, it is still a great club that we have shown no appreciation for and that is why it isn't up yet. so let's not jump the gun and cause him to scrap the dvd if there is plans to release it.. just chill.. Ridiculous. The club could EASILY have been a lot better. The reason it sucks (and it does) is that Prince has a habit of hiring virtually incompetent people to run his business. In his Warner days yes: SOTT, Live Sexy, D&P... ultimately all came out on video. But after? nothing I would say, besides the couple of video's from year 1 of the club. Baloney. They promised service and failed to live up to it -- FACT. Oh, and if it weren't for people complaining, we'd still be using that lame quicktime/java hack thingy to download crappy .mov files and lo-fi MP3s. © Bart Van Hemelen

The .wmv file is floating around, for instance it was posted on abmp a couple of days ago. Subscribe to News2Me.com if you want to use abmp without all the hassle of needing special software. The .wmv clip should be playable on a Mac, afaik. © Bart Van Hemelen

What I wanted to say, is that I'm on a Mac and the clip plays just fine...on Safari...even if it says it doesn't play...try it, it will on Windows Media Player if you have it installed. | |

They did it with Emancipation and rave by releasing the Vault and Chaos... Warners never had ANYTHING to do with the SOTT movie. It was released theatrically and on home video through MCA/Universal. Universal still owns the home video rights, so any DVD release would have to happen through them, probably with Prince's permission.
