Just picked up the new Maceo Parker CD "D-A-I-L Maceo" on my
lunch hour and the bit I heard sounds good! Prince is on it
on two songs. One of them is yet another version of The
Greatest Romance Ever Sold. It is mostly instrumental with
Maceo blowing his horn and the chorus vocal dropped in. Then
there is a hidden track which is a version of Baby Knows. It
is on track 12. The listed track plays and then there is
perhaps 30 seconds of silence and then Baby Knows kicks in.
Again Maceo's horn takes where the vocal was but the chorus
vocals still come in. Pretty cool. Shyrel Crow and Michael
Bland are credited too. There's also a pretty cool track
that Ani Difranco is on. Check it out!
