Michael Bland has a new band and they are called Sons of Almighty! The line-up is as follows: Sonny Thompson, Tommy Barbarella, Jef Lee Johnson (currently the guitarist for D'Angelo) Julius Collins on lead vocals and of course Micheal B. They will be making their first ever live performance on May 28th at the Quest nightclub in Mpls. This is Sunday night of the Memorial weekend. Don't have cover charge info yet but many comps will be issued and cover will be very modest. An album is almost in the can and from what tracks I have heard it is just too funky! More will be reported on this major musical event as it gets closer with KMSP's The Buzz and local newspapers sure to be doing interviews and articles. Stay tuned!!!
