Prince references in Rock & Folk (France)

Many references to Prince in the latest issue of Rock & Folk, THE french rock magazine (not online)

1/ Edito 'CDs on the Net' : Prince has failed, but Jimmy Page and The Stooge are going to make a success.

Comment : mmmhh, where is the Rave Special Edition?

2/ Santana's Discorama : "He can do all : rock, funk, pop... i'm very proud that he's listening my music... we're talking a lot at the moment : i have many songs and i wish he will help me to release them... The Artist find his liberty with the control, and i do, waiting the things. But it's two method for the same results."

Comment : 'Supernatural' millions sellings
'Rave...' 450 000... yeah, the same result. LOL

Another question : "Is HE the Stevie Wonder's heir?"
"Anybody can equal him... He write for
the people, but many write for themself."

Comment : The Artist is concerned... ???

3/ 'Dial Maceo' : "Prince, specialist of come back for old artists. After Larry Graham, here comes Maceo Parker..."

Comment : And the Artist's come back??

4/'Romanthony' : "The Salvation of Prince, who's always the best in concert, but can't make good studio's things... It's the best Prince's LP for years, it's a real plagiarism. Romanthony wanna stimulate his master with this challenge. Will He know how to react?"

Comment : it's the question... after Beck, D'Angelo, Romanthony says 'next millenium needs a great innovative black musician'. And there is anybody except Prince. The world is waiting for him, everybody feel that 'Rave..' is a partial return to the right old mentality : the real instruments and the experiment. But since few months, nothing. Maybe a new haircut is the right way!...
