1)"A big thank you for the long overdue feature on The Artist (...Jan '00). He apparently did'nt say much, but it was still worth reading. (Good that you show his live gear to flesh thing out!) I think he's one of the most underrated guitarist of all time. Ever heard of "Chaos and Disorder"? The album might not have been one of his best-selling releases, but it displays brilliant, agressive, and burning guitar playing at its best. It's also more guitar-driven than his latest effort. And, hey, all you ignorant guys out there! The guitarist's art is all about self-expression and creating emotions, so please stop complaining about this or that cover story featuring player X, Y, or Z. 2-) "As a fan of The Artist, I am continually frustrated by interviewers who ask him the same questions about name changes and/or record labels wars. Kudos to Art Thompson for talking to The Artist about music, and not trying to portray him as a "weird" guy (as so many writers attempts to do). It's very refreshing to see a magazine that recognizes The Artist's incredible guitar work.
