Basement Jaxx talk about Prince Mixmag (a UK music monthly that concentrates on dance music and club culture) has an article on Basement Jaxx in their April 2000 edition (issue # 107), "How Basement Jaxx gave The World Its Groove Back", by Dorian Lynskey. At one point, the article mentions the non-happening of the duo remixing a Prince song:
Ask Felix and Simon what the big events of the past year have been and they can't even remember. They were too busy to accept an offer to turn on Brixton's Christmas lights and too busy to do a remix for one of their heroes, Prince (the year before that they had to turn down Madonna): "We were in Minneapolis and a little package arrived and he was in there, ha ha," Felix lies. "He's tiny! We put him in a glass and then sent him back to Paisley Park." | |
