Newly Opened Hard Rock Vault features Purple Rain coat. Grand Opening was on Jan 17, 2003.

That photo is from "1999" era not Purple Rain. He wore that coat in the Little Red Corvette clip I believe. When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

It's nice to see Prince getting some recognition; Lord knows he deserves it! The Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame Museum here in Cleveland (my hometown) does not even have any display for Prince, which I feel they should.
When I went to the Hall of Fame several years ago when they first opened, they had a picture of Prince from the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine that was mixed in with other memorabilia from other artists, and that was about it. The only thing that even remotely refers to Prince is their "U Got the Look" display, that has outfits that various artists wore onstage, but yet they don't have ANY of Prince's clothes included. What a bunch of idiots! Needless to say, the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame is not all that. It will be nice if Prince gets inducted into there, and I hope that happens soon. Most of the artists that they have inducted so far have not even been remotely as talented as Prince. Until then, I probably won't be returning to the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame any time soon. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I belive in order to be inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame, an artist must have a career that spans at least 20 years. Therefore, Prince only became eligible in 1999. Let's hope it's not too long before they recognize his genius very soon! Peace, B Wild & LOVE 4 ONE ANOTHER

I agree, Housequake!! When they put out the ballad in the local paper to vote on who you think should be inducted into the R & R Hall of Fame, you can believe that I will be voting for Prince as often as I can. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.
