Maceo seems to be starting his European tour in the UK. As far as I remember this is the first time that he's done more than the odd date here.
There's adverts in the Guardian with tour dates announcing his new album, (out Feb. 24th) and a little information at his website so far...

Anyone else heard about the new album, it's been a while...(all that touring with Prince I suspect!)

i also heard thru his agent in the UK that P was working on Maceo's next album. something like a producer credit. see you at the gig anyway.

Milty, I saw something about this on the UK agent's website but now it's changed and the album is called Made By Maceo, anyone else hear anything...? I think it might just be a rumour...

don't get your hopes up for a Prince production. I emailed Maceo's management about this some months ago, (they're pretty good at responding) they were a bit vague about the whole thing but the general tone seemed to be that it was going to be a Maceo project, there were some rumours about, I as a big fan of both thought it would be great, but it seems like it might just have been a rumour or something that didn't come off...
Not that Prince has done his best work producing other people, in my book he's always done the best for his own stuff, and not quite hit the spot for others...
Anyone else know any different on this information, any speculations??

Wow!! Cant beleive he is playing near me, in Poole!! Thats literally next door 2 me as I live in Bournemouth!!!
I am definately gonna get tickets (from £16.00 each - not bad!!!) 2 go and see him perform, maybe even get backstage 2 meet him and talk about Prince with him!!
This will b a nice treat!!!
