BBC Radio Shows will be available on-line

I posed this question to Joby, who sent the original email notification about the radio shows and I got this reply:

"Both programmes will be available in full form on the website for 1 week
after their respective broadcasts. After that you should be able to hear an
edited version of the programmes in which all sections of music have been
cut down to 30 seconds, in keeping with copyright law.

Thanks for your interest and I hope you feel that justice is done to the
purple one,

Joby Waldman"

The website in question is http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2
All of my hang-ups have gone. How I wish you felt the same.

Do they mean as a streaming audio kind of thing or as a complete download? I can't bear listening to real-audio pish so I'll make sure I catch the programme otherwise.

Some more info:

PURPLE REIGN - THE PRINCE STORY
Saturday 18 January, 2100-2200

Mica Paris presents the story of Prince - the mini Minneapolitan who made it big in the music world. This two-part series tells the story of one of the true musical stars of the late 20th century and one of the few who really doesn't care what people think of him.
RIP sad

In the "Sunday Times" newspaper TV and Radio supplement they pull out the Prince programme with a picture as the "Highlight of the day".

The above is the full link to the details on the show. Not sure if i missed it but, it says on there that it is actually a two part programme. Doesn't seem to comment on when the second part is though.
As for the live shows, what is that about, havent seen or heard about this.

A bit more info for those of you who havent been digging round the BBCi website:

PURPLE REIGN - THE PRINCE STORY

Programme One

Mica Paris examines Prince¹s best releases of the 1980s, from the controversial funk rock of Dirty Mind to the breakthrough success of 1999 and the epoch-defining Sign o the Times.

The programme also examines Prince's work as a producer for such artists as Sinead O Connor, the Bangles and Alicia Keys.

The programme features contributions from Chaka Kahn, Alexander O Neale and ex-member of The Time, Jimmy Jam, plus members of the Revolution.

Programme Two

In this programme we look into the mystery of the most famous non-release of 1987, the Black Album andat the meaning of his favourite word of 1988, Lovesexy.

We also look at the souring of his relationship with Warner Brothers in the 1990s when he changed his name to an impronouncible symbol and went on the road with "slave" scrawled on his face.

In 2003 his name is Prince again and although he¹s without a record deal, he is cultivating a new relationship with his fams (or family). For one week per year he opens Paisley Park to celebrate his birthday and his newfound beliefs.

The programme features contributions from George Clinton, Chaka Kahn and producer Jimmy Jam.

Each part of the documentary will available to hear on-demand for seven days after transmission via the Radio Player.
