the next day rolling stone's toure realized that he could get to d via me,
so we spoke for an hour about what pressure could a 26 year old really
have. puhleeenty. what makes a 26 year old break a mic stand (steel one at
that) over his knees in anger onstage? what makes a 22 year old wait til
he's 26 before his second record out? toure also got the truth out of us.
voodoo was our audition to be in prince's group:



so after 4 years of slaving over this record. if money called y'all on some
'i want y'all to play in my group" would you?

today also marks the first day of us playing on the new stage set. i have
to admit, it's kinda fresh. it looks like the sign o the times cover.
bi-level stage with a juke joint esque backround. there is also a church
tabernacle set. i don't wanna give too much up. but thank god we have room
to breathe now. cause on that house of blues stage we were cramped. now we
got space. only one problem. we have no intro!!!!! and we got...what day
is this?.....yikes! 2 days!!!!! oh no!!! got an intro to play.
