DJ Brother Jules working on Prince ballads remix project In the June issue of Source magazine, the "In The 'Hood" section spotlights the Minneapolis/St. Paul area hip hop scene:
"...A strong presence on the scene is Brother Jules, who DJs for the Artist, runs Nocturnal Street Promotions, and organizes the Minneapolis Record Pool out of Wide Angle Records. An employee at Paisley Park since '91, he is currently working on a remix project incorporating The Artist's many ballads ("strictly love music," he explains). Brother Jules' skills can be heard on the infamous "Purple Medley" megamix, his CD, The Remix Experience, and Graham Central Station's recent GCS 2000 album. He also spins Fridays, 10 pm-2am, on KMOJ (89.9), a 1000-watt community station that presents one of the few outlets for Black music on the airwaves..." | |
