Just scooped the Soul Train Music Awards event. Chuck D
introduced Prince--"...WE call him Prince!"--and Prince
came out followed by (I think) Londell McMillan. He got a
standing ovation and asked the audience to remain standing.
He then proceeded to give a very timely speech regarding
"Games" being played by and in the music industry, and
the fact that so-called 'minorities' are not minor at all
("...you are a Beautiful people...", "...you are the most
talented and you are still greatful..."). He also
spoke about God being thanked first for victory in the game.
He touched on some very deep points and I am currently
pondering these points...more later (after VH-1's Rave...).
