Just so everyone knows, the full (1/2 hour plus) prince celebration story is on the new kevin smith dvd that came out today... and i'm the one on the video asking him about it! check it out, its really entertaining.

Can you get this DVD at any regular retail store, such as Best Buy or Target?

Who is Kevin Smith?

He directed such movies as Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. He's also a Prince fan, and I believe it was last year's Celebration that Prince asked him to film it. I wasn't there though, so I don't know much about that.

Kevin Smith was doing speeches about film-making at different colleges a while back and they filmed it and released it.

The Prince story is about filming the Rainbow Children documentary for Prince.

I was wondering how much of the dvd was dedicated to the celebration.

Hey I saw the DVD Last night, very cool inside info on paisley park, and how prince was living in prince world at that time. Kevin has alot of the same interest as me he likes John Hughes movies, Prince Music, and Star wars.

I wish prince would have said thanks to kevin, you could tell that that still bothered him.

I love Kevin Smith. I watched the DVD, the whole thing was great. I was surprised at the amount of detail he went into, given Prince's desire for privacy & secrecy. I recommend this DVD to anyone who has ever enjoyed any of his movies, & for those of you who are just interested in the Prince portion, you should certainly rent or borrow it, because it paints a real picture of Prince.

The more I know about Kevin Smith, & the longer his career goes on, the more I see him in a similar light as Prince. I think he is a talented artist (filmmaker) & I think, like Prince, he has some great ideas that really are shown through his work.

I am going to rent it from netflix, but it is two discs
