Uptown adds UK reporter

Uptown Magazine are pleased to announce further expansion enabling increased communications worldwide.

We are pleased to announce that Gavin McLaughlin, formerly of Interactive magazine, the UK-based fanzine has decided to join Uptown and act as both a staff writer and communications point for the UK.

The UK has long been a major focal point for fans of Prince / The Artist, however in the past this has been a roller-coaster ride with the rise and fall of both Controversy and Interactive magazines. By bringing Gavin into the team, Uptown can ensure that this focus is once again maintained.

The UPTOWN magazine is produced by a team of dedicated fans and collectors. The author of the acclaimed "Prince bible," Prince: A Documentary, Per Nilsen, is one of the staff members. Many of the leading "Princeologists" all over the world contribute to the magazine, making it the definitive, authoritative guide to The Artist.

UPTOWN is not an authorized fan club, supported by Paisley Park and NPG Records. But UPTOWN is indispensable if you want more than just the "official" news, and if you're looking for a magazine that treats its subject in a serious, journalistic manner, without the fawning "Oh, isn't The Artist God" attitude that can be both embarrassing and annoying.

UPTOWN reports on all aspects of the Artist Formerly Known as Prince, official or unofficial, including his unreleased music. Since its inception in 1991, UPTOWN has established a name for itself as the leading authority on Prince/The Artist. Investigative and well-researched, UPTOWN covers more ground and digs deeper than any other magazine, newsletter, or website on The Artist. Besides the in-depth articles, UPTOWN readers are regularly updated on all the latest news.

Fans in the UK can now contact Uptown either by email at uk@uptown.se or by postal mail at the following address :
