Contemporary jazz star bassist Chris Minh Doky (sideman for David Sanborn, John Scofield, Randy Brecker and others) has a new album out 2 March. It's called "Listen Up!" and features a special version of 1999; a kind of mucial medley with Herbie Hancock's classic Cantaloupe Island. The words haven't been touched though and are plendidly performed by Katreese Barnes, whom The Artist without succes has tried to hire for quite a while (according to the press material fra Virgin Records). Is The Artist collecting a new band again?
