Prince to beef up Security at Vegas show Dec 15th.

Prince will beef up security at his Las Vegas show at the Alladin hotel. This is due to a security breech at a Tokyo nightclub recently.
Here's the link, scroll down a bit for the article: http://www.u-entertainmen...rch=filter

PURPLE CRUSH: Prince is beefing up security for his Dec. 15 show at Las Vegas' Aladdin Hotel because of a recent scare in Japan. At the after-party in Tokyo for his One Nite Alone world tour, the Purple One was surrounded by a mob of hundreds who closed in on him at the Two Faces nightclub. His outnumbered bodyguards stacked up sofas as a barrier to keep the crowd from reaching the superstar -- but it didn't work. The frenzied fans broke through, and Prince was reduced to dashing out through the kitchen.

That is so scary! People loose their rationality when they are starstruck- he could have been hurt...

I remeber one of the Sacramento shows. Peole were on stage dancing and one guy got so excited, he came up behind Prince, grabbed both shoulders, and shook him violently because he was overdosed on excitement! I don't like being touched by strangers...I can't imagine how P must feel...

I guess we as fans just don't realize that this is Scary for Celebrities. We don't mean anything by it we think the Celebrity likes the Attention, but I guess we should say how would we Feel in that Person's Shoes and then we will act more NORMAl. It must have felt like Old times for Prince as he was Dashing through the Kitchen and all. What a Trip! Prince should just let his Female fans plant some Kisses on him Already why Not? It's quite Funny in a Sense. I hope he Understands and doesn't worry Too Much. He doesn't realize he is just so Beautiful and his Music Amazing to us. I guess Stalkers have made it Bad for people who are just Fans and not Harmful. Well,I would never want Anything Happening to Prince. Sometimes,I wish I myself could Protect Him. I Know I'd Drop Dead Myself if something Happened.

Prince can beef up security all he wants for his Vegas show, but imo there's no reason for it . . . he is in no danger whatsoever in Vegas, the fans that are going to Sunday's show are the same fans that went two years ago, and beyond. Japan hasn't seen Prince since when??!? Diamonds and Pearls tour? He should've realized there would be this type of reaction from the get-go . . . .

I recall Prince impressed & speaking about being in Japan and how the people there who had tamborines from his show didn't try taking them, but left them in there seats and left from the concert in a single file line...He was just saying in all they had a sense of order that maybe we here in the states can learn from...They was tought something right early on...

After his scare I wonder if he feels that sense of order lost...

I think its a sign of these times that let's U know anything can happen 2 U at any given time and U better not leave your guard down.

But the question is did they leave the fucking tambourines on the seats again?

I would hate for Prince to lose his best story involving the Japanese.

The same thing happened in Detroit on the "Hit and Run" Tour in 2000 so it's not as if it a problem only with the people in Japan. Remember the butt-grabbing incident and the mad dash away?

I have 2 agree. the japanese r not obese, not showing lots of skin, very honest, and showed awesome respect 4 prince's wishes to not bring camera's into the venue...but evidentally didnt respect him as much as america, canada, & europe did by not rushing his space, even tho security tried blocking them. prince can pretty-much feel safe enough to chill with his fams here! maybe when he posted in paisley news; that he was becoming japanese, they felt they could welcome him by rushing him? very strange 4 the well mannered japanese...BTW, i have nothing against them or ANY country, but one has to wonder...
May the BELLS ring 4 U even when ur not in love. hug kisses

I was there, I think he did that on purpose because he knows that the Japanese always rush him. It wasnt any thing violent, they just wanted to touch him.Almost half of the club go-ers stood in front of the balcony just looking at him. When he would go in the back room, they would wait for him to come back out. He would disappear for 20 minutes at a time. I beleive he entered the club through a different door because when I got there he wasnt there yet, so Im pretty sure he had another way out. Nobody saw him enter, not that I know of, I would of heard the sceams. Imagine what would of happened if I told the fans which hotel he was staying in. Ha!

I didn't mean "those people" as in "the Japanese", I meant those people who were tearing up the club trying to get at him. I guess you can't tell it by the way I wrote it though, I know he can get rushed anywhere by any group of folks, lol...

And I've only heard rumors of a famous butt-grabbing incident, but never the details :O LAWD! Folks gotta learn how to act... disbelief

Hey the Japanese are wacky!

Maybe they were Japanese Jehovah's Witnesses going to knock down a few doors? wink

Im sure the crowd in Vegas will have a different attitude than this incident.

Maybe just before the guards were stacking up the sofas, Prince kinda said "is this what im paying u for"? wink

When he played the club Utopia in Las Vegas, people just moved out of the way so he could walk to the stage. He even shook hands on the way. He had two security guys walking in front of him, thats it.
