Prince as Little Richard? In the latest issue of the Jet magazine (Feb 21, 2000) in an article about the NBC TV movie on the Life Story Of Rock 'N' Roll Legend Little Richard, Little Richard says: Although Leon (the actor chosen to play him) was not Richards' first choice to play him on the screen, Richard called him excellent. "You know, I wanted Prince to be me because he reminds me of myself when I see him. But, Leon did an excellent job. I don't think Prince could have done better. Leon put his all in it, and i was touched by him."
