Kenny Loggins performing a few lines of Prince's "Kiss" on tour From a Naples, Florida USA Newspaper: http://www.naplesnews.com...09549a.htm
"It was intriguing to hear new approaches and acoustic versions of some of his songs. "This is It," had almost a Spanish flavor to it. And he played "Your Mama Don't Dance" with a slow, bluesy groove, leading into it with a cover of "Kansas City." He even added a few lines from Prince's "Kiss" at the end." Hmmm... Nice I guess. Seems everybodys a fan.

I find it so amusing that just because somebody sang a few lines of a Prince song, people feel its vital that it be posted here. I mean basically for starters, nobody has given a fuck about Kenny Loggins since the 80s, and even if they did, who gives a fuck if he sang a few lines of a Prince song.
How bout we keep this site as www.prince.org rather than www.kennylogginssingsafew...rince.org.

I'll have you know, Mr. Negative Ned, that I was walking down Michigan Avenue Tuesday and I heard someone singing Purple Rain. Now, if that's not newsworthy, what is? Maybe if the official site was more active and/or interactive, Prince fans would have more to discuss than which 1980s soundtrack star sang a Prince tune live. I imagine many people who visit a Prince site give a "f" about other noted performers singing Prince songs. And on the other hand, not that many people have given an "f" about Prince since the 80s, either.

It's news because it shows how Princes music shows up in other realms, it's just reference information.

what IS relevant to this is that Mr. Loggins, in his book "The Unimaginable Life"-relating his breakthrough experience of seeking higher love in his life..mentions having to RECOVER(?) from sexual overload after he & his wife visit Paisley...
Upon first glance, Prince's music is often perceived as little more than "naughty sexual innuendo". The noblest effect it can have is to place the spiritual seeker squarely where they MUST start: in their humnan body. Good for you, Kenny. :::sings softly to myself.."bring me a higher love..oh oh...STAND UP, all you lovers in the world...stand up & be counted, every boy every girl."

I always find it interesting to hear when other artists cover Prince's material. Others here feel the same way which is probably why it was featured as a news item.
"I'm Alright" is the only Kenny Loggins song I can name, but it's a good one.
