MORE: Signifying one of the biggest releases of the year, on

January 25, singer/songwriter/producer D'Angelo will release

his sophomore album "Voodoo."

Since the release of his platinum-plus 1995 debut album

"Brown Sugar," D'Angelo has been hailed as one of the most

compelling new voices in American music. With "Voodoo," the

25-year-old from Richmond ushers in an intriguing new

chapter in his young career.

The first singles from "Voodoo" are "Left & Right,"

featuring Redman and Method Man, and "Untitled," D'Angelo's

tribute to The Artist (formerly known as Prince). The

"Untitled" video has been the MTV JAMS "Pick of the Week,"

No. 1 on BET, and on custom rotation at VH1. "Untitled" has

also been hailed as "the sexiest video ever made."

"Voodoo" follows D'Angelo's platinum-plus 1995 debut "Brown

Sugar," which spawned the gold singles "Brown Sugar" and

"Lady." In addition to racking up worldwide sales of

2 million units, "Brown Sugar" was nominated for five Grammy Awards(R), won four Soul Train Awards(R) (including "Album

of the Year"), earned D'Angelo an American Music Award(R) as

"Favorite R&B Artist," and established him as one of the

most compelling new voices in modern music.
