Warren Haynes covers When Doves Cry

(Sent in by h.h.vandalen)
Legend Warren Haynes ("Government Mule", "Phil & Friends" and "Allman
Brothers Band") plays 'When Doves Cry' live in concert quite often. It
hasn't appeared on CD yet, but is widely available on bootleg, because the concerts are very taper-friendly.

let's see... if you refer to ben's post, you see that he has played in the bands Government Mule, Phil & Friends, and the Allman Brothers Band...

he got his start playing in david allan coe's band, and he's also played guitar on albums by kenny wayne shepherd, little milton, corrosion of conformity, everlast, and so forth and so on...

he's one of the greatest slide guitar players of all-time...

Thanx a lot 4 the info. Eye guess eye missed somethin' cuz eye never heard his name neither any of the others u mention... But maybe dis guy is a big star in the US & not very known in Europe. It happens often. 4 xemple, nobody damn knows Georgge Clinton in France xept 4 funk listeners & Prince fans. Still, eye think GC is quite famous in the US...

you've never heard of the allman brothers..? hmm

anyway, i doubt that many of the artists that i mentioned would have much appeal outside of the us... they are very much in the vein of that deep south, blues influenced type of music...
