The Artist donates $37,000 to Princeville



According to the AP wires....



The Artist has made a donation to the flood-ravaged town
that bears his old name. The musician once known as Prince
has donated 37-thousand dollars to the town of Princeville
after reading accounts of the devastation brought on by
Hurricane Floyd.

Princeville zoning officer Sam Knight says the money was
earmarked to purchase building materials. He says the
whole 37-thousand dollars won't go far when it comes to
building supplies, but the town of 21-hundred is grateful
to The Artist for thinking about it.

Princeville Public Relations Coordinator Kim Burwell said
the musician sent a representative from his charitable
organization in Ohio to the town to assess the immediate
needs. When she returned, The Artist approved the donation.
