In the new 'Work It' video for Missy Elliott's latest single, when she mentions 'Prince couldn't change my name' (or something similar), they have some Prince lookalike on there pampering her while she is on the sofa. Quite funny, but the guy doesn't look like him that much. I think he was dressed up to look like the Diamonds and Pearls era.

CrazyMF says here that he looks more like Louis Guzman than Prince, which, according to the pictures on his website, is somewhat of an insult to Louis Guzman.

I know it's all in jest, but that's kind of a backwards insult isn't it? Like Missy is the Queen and Prince is her slave...

Also in that new Jay-Z song "Me and My Girlfriend" the girl in the song sings the If I Was Your Girlfriend lyric "Would you run to me if somebody hurt you even if that somebody was me, sometimes I trip on how happy we can be" and then sample the "pleeeze" yell of Prince.

The song is also a rip-off of a previous 2Pac song. Considering that Jay-Z kept close company with Biggie and that Biggie participated in a song on Jay-Z's first album dissin Pac...I doubt this new song is meant as a compliment.

there's just one problem with that fake prince guy... his EYES look nothing like prince's big ol eyes... other than that... i could pass him off for prince if i were drunk & high and they were blindfolded.

Thought it was cute that Missy mentioned his name it made you look didn't though and that was the point. Being fans make you lose your sense of humor. A sign of humility is the ability to laugh at one's self. I doubt if Prince takes himself as seriously as you all seem to do. Lighten up on Missy.

Missy Eliott is in fact a HUGE Prince fan. I read in a magazine that right after school she would go up to her room, and play his music, and write her raps. She said he is a great inspiration, and she has all his albums. 1 or 2 years ago in YM or seventeen, or teen People. I used to get those and I read it there. So any "making fun" is really not serious.
