Still more on Rave 2000 I was one of the lucky few who got into the prince rave. Actually, I had
wondered if he was going to do a new years concert, and didn't know anything about the events of Sat. night, but a friend filled me in on times and costs. So at 10:30, me and my boyfriend left his company xmas party and thought we would check out the scene at Paisley. Call it luck, call it being "dressed right", call it timing, but lets just say, how we got in was like a Mentos commercial. Pure luck! Which, kind of shows how disorganized the "line thing was".Yes, I feel really bad for the people who had planned this event, had flew or drove from other places, who camped out in the cold, and who paid huge amounts of money. Being the temperature that night the least paisley could have done was have the people lined up again the building to keep away from the windchill, not out in the pasture. Until the next day when I was getting over my "prince hangover" I found out what a really big deal this was with the people bidding on auctions and etc. Wow, I am so grateful that I was in that crowd that heard 1999 played for the last time, and experienced an incredible concert. I have had my ultimate new years, and could care less what I do on Dec.31. How do I get pay per view to watch the royal one again. | |
