James Brown has just signed a deal similar to David Bowie's (to sell bonds backed by his future song and music publishing royalties), but this is the biggest deal ever- to the tune of $100 million. Prince is not mentioned in this Reuter's story, but this is certainly of interest, as he's mentioned the Bowie deal in many interviews with open envy. The James Brown deal will drive him crazy, I'm sure.
