Also, I think it's hilarious that someone thought Dudley was Jules as one is a big black man and the other is a skinny white guy.

I'm not usually one for DJ's but this guy was good. He mixed the tunes really well.
He also added a nice flavour to the aftershow. His scratching during 'Sign 'o' Times' was particularly good. I liked the way Prince would point at him like one of the band and he'd start scratching the decks. Way too cool!

He must be getting better because it's been kind of a joke during the last few years at Paisley about how terrible of a dj he is.

He must be getting better because it's been kind of a joke during the last few years at Paisley about how terrible of a dj he is. ah well, relief... i can not tell that, cos i never witnessed him live, but i do know, that my friend julian, aka DJ Bro Jules is some lovely guy and fonky too, and he's got his skills... had him twice as my guest 4 djing in switzerland... was kinda fonky! we had en excellent time - may 2002 it was the last time and i do prepare 4 another party (seeking some sponsors - swizzzerland? ) so we can get another beautiful nite! but 2b honest, i don't know since when jules is not any longer working in paisly aka 4 prince (last offical was on newpowersoul - check the lyrics, cd) - i met him first on the celebration 2000 and get connected then 2 get a party once, which we did twice till now... so, duno, but as i asked him about the reasons he never answered me properly in this subject, wonder why? kinda delicate? he informed me that he wants 2 do more producing work in the nearby future and runs his djsmusicemporium in minneapolis.. but i don't know how prince is as a boss...?! so, despite of all: jules is the man! and he's got soul! and i pretty much liked his style (better live than on the remix experience..) btw. i still have some cds (remix experience) left. let me know... keep the fonk alive! can somebody enlighten me about the real facts? i would appreciate that! looking 4ward 2 the coming gigs so i can make myself an opinion of this NEW? doodley guy... i hoped 4 jules u know... -------------------------------------------------

"DJ Dudley D" would be for "DJ Dudley Dustin". Regrettably, his mother didn't name him "Dudley". Sorry LoveMachine, but he did run the tables for The Fonky Bald Heads live. More notably, he also ran around stage in a ridiculous wig. But, as you pointed out, anyone who has visited Paisley on a few occasions might've noticed some mixing and transitioning that we'll just call 'rough'.

nice bloke, but not that great a DJ!!
I know we were at a Prince after party, but, come on - surely he doesn't want to listen to his own stuff all night?? no one is that up themselves . . . after all, he was asking what influenced his fans musically (at the sound check) - it would have been nice to hear what influences the man, not a badly mixed megamix of Paisley output . . . still, like I say, he seemed nice, just a little bit of a yes man . . .

Sorry but Dudley has more flat tires than I-95.
Dude couldn't mix his way out of a Betty Crocker box. I'm sure he's cool, but he's an unbelivebaly bad DJ. And I mean UNBELIEVABLY bad. That sky dude could at least blend properly but heck man, I have no respect for DJ's in the first place so. T
