Lovesexy Cover Remembered

It's easy to argue with some of the choices in "100 Best
Album Covers" (DK, $19.95) by Storm Thorgerson and
Aubrey Powell. But the stories behind the covers are often
fascinating. For instance, for Prince's "Lovesexy" in 1988,
photographer Jean-Baptiste Mondino didn't discuss his desire
to photograph the subject in the nude until the day of the shoot.
Only one roll of film was shot, Prince picked the frame he
wanted and destroyed the rest of the film.
